Bella and Oliver met in 2015 through their mutual friend, Adrian. Throughout high school, they shared the same group of friends and frequently saw each other most weekends, and became close. They were both drawn to each other and would have loved to ask the other out on a date, but Bella always feared that Oliver wasn’t interested in her, and Oliver thought the same of her. After narrowly missing a possible relationship with each other, they went their separate ways as college came closer.
As they both became busy with life, they grew apart and weren’t able to see each other as often. Occasionally, they would “joke“ that if neither of them were married at 40, they would find each other and get married on the spot.
In the summer of 2021, Bella and Oliver reconnected and, both entering new phases of life, finally began dating. Their love for each other—which had been present since the day they met—grew and grew. Later that year, Bella found out she was pregnant with their son, Louis, who was born the following summer.
In October of 2022, Oliver decided it was time to commit to each other forever, and proposed to Bella while on vacation in Bloomington, IN. She agreed. On September 27th, 2024, they will fulfill their pact 16 years early.
